Rubber and Tire

Ozone and UV light are considered as the major occurring threats to tires and all other natural and synthetic rubbers. Whilst carbon black is mainly used to provide UV light protection, waxes are added to the rubber compound to act by migrating to the surface where they form a thin layer of wax to serve as a barrier to ozone.

The AST PetroChemie anti-ozone and synthetic waxes have a unique and tailored combination of physical and chemical characteristics, providing functions such as ozone protection, mould release agents or making them high performance additives for the processing of natural and synthetic rubber products.

Our anti-ozone waxes are used in tires, conveyor belts, and other technical rubber applications.
